Waking Life Reading Response

When I first started watching the film, Waking Life directed by Richard Linklater in 200, I was a bit confused about where the film was going. When it first began I found the animation of the movie really creepy and not entertaining at all. I had to go back and watch the beginning of the movie because most of the beginning I was too worried about the way the characters in the film looked. One thing I liked about the movie was that although they were animation it was still more realistic. You could still identify all the people and could still tell the difference between each character, by that I mean I was able to tel if a certain person was a male or female.  I found it very confusing as to why the main character did not have a name. I would have liked for him to have a name since he was such a big part of the movie. I believe that Linklater followed Paul Wells' developmental feature animation style. There were things in the film that made it confusing to determine just one animation style.
